Our commitment
There is nothing to buy on this website — engagements start with a free teardown and are agreed in writing before any payment. This policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and the sprint guarantee work once a paid engagement begins.
The Hardening Sprint guarantee
Every Hardening Sprint names its critical issues in the written scope before it starts — taken directly from your teardown.
If a named critical issue is not resolved by the end of the sprint, the outstanding balance is refunded. No partial-credit language, no renegotiation. Issues discovered mid-sprint that were not in the named scope are quoted separately or noted in the trail — they don’t dilute the guarantee.
Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers only)
This statutory right applies to consumers located in the European Economic Area (EEA) — natural persons acting outside their trade or profession.
In accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Romanian OG 34/2014, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days of concluding it, without giving any reason.
To exercise this right, email [email protected] with a clear statement of your decision.
Exception: If you explicitly requested that work begin before the 14-day period expires (e.g., by granting code access or approving the sprint scope), you acknowledge that the withdrawal right may be limited to the undelivered portion of the service.
Clients outside the EU/EEA: This statutory withdrawal right does not apply to you, but the general refund terms below apply to all clients worldwide and provide equivalent protection.
General refund policy (all clients worldwide)
Free teardown
Nothing to refund — the teardown is free, and you keep the video and findings regardless of whether you engage further.
Before sprint work begins
Full refund. If you cancel before the sprint starts (before code access is granted and work begins), you receive a 100% refund of anything prepaid. No questions asked.
After sprint work has started
Proportional refund. If you cancel mid-sprint:
- You receive everything completed up to the cancellation point, including the trail (docs, tests, runbook) for finished work
- A refund is issued for the undelivered scope, calculated proportionally
- The sprint guarantee above still applies to any named critical issue already marked resolved
Senior Oversight Retainer
The retainer is billed monthly and cancellable anytime — cancellation stops the next billing cycle. The current month is not refunded once its weekly reviews have begun.
Due-Diligence Read
Full refund if cancelled before repo access is granted; non-refundable once the read is underway, since the work is front-loaded and the memo follows within 5 business days.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] with:
- Your name and email used for the engagement
- Which service the refund concerns
- Reason for the request (optional, but it helps)
Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days via the original payment method.
Disputes
If you’re unhappy with the quality of delivered work, please reach out before requesting a refund. In most cases concerns can be addressed with a follow-up call or revised deliverable at no extra cost.
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably:
- EU/EEA consumers: You may contact the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) at www.anpc.gov.ro or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
- UK consumers: You may use UK-approved alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services.
- All clients: Disputes are governed by Romanian law and may be submitted to the competent courts in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. See our Terms of Service for full details.
